A/C Quality ~ The A/C Quality Program helps building owners address their A/C
systems as a money saving investment by providing program services that keep
your system operating efficiently and extend the life of your equipment.

Among the courses offered are: Basic Refrigeration Principles Advanced Refrigeration Principles Psychrometrics Electrical Controls Duct Design and Selection Mechanical Codes and Estimating Heat load Calculation Advanced system design Electives include: Pneumatic Control System Direct Digital Control Systems This program is designed as the bridge between Engineering and Technology. It will provide students with technical skills to support engineering applications. Graduates of this program have gone on to become industry leaders in the Southern California area and beyond.
The Cypress College air conditioning and refrigeration program offers a 2 year
complete curriculum in practical and theoretical training.

IHACI: The Institute of Heating and Air Conditioning Industries, Inc., is a non-profit
trade association of contractors, manufacturers, distributors, utility firms, and related businesses actively engaged in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration,
and sheet metal industries.

IHACI recognizes that there are members who may be in need of CFC training and testing. The Environmental Protection Agency requires that all individuals handling refrigerants be certified. In an effort to accommodate its members, the association is offering a modified CFC training and testing program.
ACCA is the largest HVACR business organization in the world, with members in
all 50 states as well as more than a dozen foreign countries.

Glycol Water Chiller
Glycol-cooled system: A type of air conditioning system that uses freon as a refrigerant and a water/glycol solution as a condensing medium. Typically, the glycol-cooled condenser is located inside the air conditioner with the rest of the refrigeration components. Water/glycol is piped to the unit from a drycooler or other suitable source. The glycol keeps the solution from freezing during winter operation.
